Kreg Jig Tool Review

Today I want to share my review of the Kreg Pocket Hole Jig System, specifically the K4 model. This tool got me started in woodworking and I think it can be a benefit to any woodworker. Read along to get my thoughts

What is the Kreg Jig?

The Kreg Pocket Hole Jig System is a method of joining wood by using pocket hole joinery. Pocket-hole joinery, or pocket-screw joinery, involves drilling a hole at an angle (usually 15 degrees) into one work piece, and then joining it to a second work piece with a self-tapping screw. In other terms, pocket holes are basically pilot holes that make it super simple to join wood and create a strong joint.

* Bonus Tips *

• Create a “workstation” for your Kreg Jig to make it even easier to handle larger pieces of material. Check out my custom workstation below.

• Another tip is to buy the dust attachment if you utilize a shop vac in your shop. The Kreg Jig creates insane amounts of wood shavings and they start to build up and get in the way quickly. The dust attachment basically eliminates all the shavings, making your life way easier! Here is a link the dust attachment.
